In the latest January transfer window round up, West Brom linked with Lazio striker as Hugill set to leave on loan. Elsewhere, Ipswich Town goalkeeper set to move to League Two as Wigan seal 17-year-old prospect.

West Brom set to move for Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi

The Serie A club are keen on cashing in on the 27-year-old striker this month as the Baggies and Leeds are interested.

The striker has made 11 Serie A appearances this season but is yet to score. However, most of these appearances have been off the bench.

Hull City plan to splash the cash after takeover

The Tigers have reportedly agreed fees for Fatih Karagümrük striker Aleksander Pešić and Fenerbahçe striker Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.

Hull City set to hold talks over personal terms with the two strikers in the coming days.

Pešić has scored 12 goals in 21 Süper Lig (Turkish top flight) appearances as Sayyadmenesh has scored seven goals in the Ukrainian top flight whilst on loan at Zorya Lugansk.

Turkish businessman Acun Illcali took over Hull City for around £30 million earlier in the week.

Bradford City set to sign Ipswich Town goalkeeper

Derek Adams has set his sights on a new goalkeeper after below par performances from Richard O’Donnell and Sam Hornby throughout the season.

Ipswich Town goal keeper Tomas Holy has been heavily linked with a loan move away from Portman Road.

The 6’9 giant has struggled for game time since the arrival of Christian Walton in the summer.

Sunderland boss blocks move for Jermain Defoe

Lee Johnson has reservations over Defoe’s squad role and match fitness.

However, the Sunderland board gave Johnson the green light to bring the veteran back to the Stadium Of Light in the January transfer window.

Defoe prefers a move to Sunderland over other potential candidates.

Millwall secure loan signing

Sheffield United’s Oli Burke has signed for Millwall on loan until the end of the season.

Also, Regan Slater looks set the leave the Blades on loan in the January transfer window with Hull City being the interested party.

Millwall are also been linked with a move for West Brom loanee Jordan Hugill.

Wigan sign 17-year-old prospect

Wigan Athletic have signed Sholing FC midfielder Joe Adams becoming the Latics third signing of the January transfer window.

Adams will join the Latics on an initial 18 month deal with an option of a further year.

The 17-year-old has recently been on trial with Chelsea and is also signed onto Eastleigh’s academy.

Fulham profit from Celtic’s latest incoming

During the January transfer window, ex-Fulham midfielder signed for Celtic from MK Dons for a reported £1.5 million fee.

Fulham are due 50% of the fee in a deal which looks even worse for MK Dons as Liverpool were also keen on the signing.

Rochdale still trying for O’Keeffe

Mansfield Town recalled Corey O’Keeffe earlier in the January transfer window after a successful loan spell at Rochdale.

Rochdale fans rate the full-back highly and feel he’ll be influential as the Dale look to rise up to League Two table.

It’s understood that Rochdale are still trying to bring Corey O’keeffe back to the club but face competition.

Burton Albion could sign ex-player

The Lower Tiers understands Burton Albion could make a move for Salford City’s Matty Lund.

The midfielder made 14 appearances for the Brewers during the 2017/18 season before moving to Bradford City on loan.

Lund has impressed for Salford this season after scoring five league goals from midfield.

Sunderland defender could head out on loan

Sunderland boss Lee Johnson has admitted the club could consider sending Arbenit Xhemajli out on loan before the end of the month.

The Kosovan defender suffered an ACL injury in his first season with the club but has since made a return to action, playing 90 minutes in an EFL Trophy clash with Oldham Athletic last month.

However, the 23-year-old needs games time to become match fit.
