League Two October Manager Of The Month Nominees

October saw Forest Green Rovers end the month at the top of the table despite a slight decrease in form.

Port Vale are the current form team in League Two as they sit in second place, just three points off Forest Green.

Let’s take a look at the nominees for the League Two Manager Of The Month and make sure to vote at the bottom of the article!

Port Vale are top of the form table after a fantastic October.

The Valiants lost just once last month and managed to score 17 goals in just six games!

However, the top of the table looks very tight as just five points separate Port Vale and tenth place Hartlepool.

If Port Vale continue their impressive form then they’ll certainly create a gap between themselves and the rest of the division.

Swindon also enjoyed a great run in form during October, winning four out of six games.

The Robins beat league-leaders, Forest Green 2-0 during last month as they showcased their talent live on Sky Sports.

Swindon Town have risen up-to fifth thanks to their majestic form, after starting the month in ninth place.

Having recently been relegated from League One, Swindon Town didn’t have the best of starts but they’re starting to really kick on now!

Jon Brady – Northampton Town

Brady took over temporary charge of the club following Keith Curle’s sacking in February 2021.

In March it was confirmed that he would take permanent charge of the first team and Northampton decided to stick with Jon Brady despite being relegated from League One.

This gamble has proven to be a good one as Northampton look to be a strong side in League Two as The Cobblers won four out of six games in October and currently sit in third place!

Matthew Taylor – Walsall

Walsall managed to go unbeaten in October, winning three and drawing the rest.

Despite the club sitting in 14th, Taylor seems to have found a winning formula at Walsall as they rise up the table.

Only three points separate Walsall and the play-offs and carrying on their good form could see them break

into the top seven.

  8. Matt taylor deserves it, at the start of the season everyone was on edge and the players were struggling to adjust fast forward and walsall are now 6 games unbeaten and the whole season he lept the players and fans believing that they would comeback and he proved his point, since his arrival walsall fc have shown a lot of improvement within the team and the supporting atmosphere

  9. Matt had done well on a small budget

  10. Matt Taylor, Walsall look much better in defence and always Create chances, somebody will get a battering soon.

  15. It’s taken some time to dismantle the awful culture that DC created at Walsall. Matty T is working his magic. I just feel sorry for Vale, the truth will out with Darrell, he’s a danger to any organisation.

    1. Is that why we’re 2nd in the league and Walsall are ?????. Say no more. Continue to feel sorry for us…

  16. DC for me as a vale fan… but it’s an unbelievable transformation but Taylor doin the same at DCs former club… it’ll be tight

  18. Matt Taylor doing a fantastic job turning around the complete pigs ear of last season ironically created by one of the other candidates and has galvanised not just the players but the fans as well.

  19. Vale fan myself but my vote goes to Matt Taylor, unbeaten after a dodgy start and from what I’ve seen starting to put some good stuff together. Not looking forward to playing them shortly, expect them to be round abouts come end of the season

  20. Matty Taylor has cleared the stink left by Darrell Clarke & started to shape the team/club. Long way to go, but a pleasure to have him at our helm. Up The Saddlers.

  21. Voted Vale’s Darrell Clarke as not only are Vale top of the form table with points accrued but the style of football has been a joy to watch and not reliant on just the forwards scoring!
