Another EFL Championship season is done and in the books. For some teams it will be a season of consolidation, about planning for next season in the Championship once more. For some, it will be looking ahead to a season in the big time. For others, it unfortunately will be a season, thinking about what could’ve been.
For those of you who are reading this article, I have been playing a slightly new Fantasy Football game that is not the Premier League version. It is the version, for those of you who are fans of the second tier and below. The website is called gaffr.io, Fantasy Football for the EFL Championship.
There have been many highs and lows throughout the season. We have now, though, got to the stage of the campaign, where we can all have a rest. Some of us have won the lot and some of us have lost our mini-leagues on the final day. Now, we can all take a rest and chill on the beaches until the first round on 30th July.
The next thing we get to look forward to is the EFL Championship playoffs. Who will qualify from the current four. Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and Luton Town, one from these four teams will secure promotion to the Premier League next term. I would like to ask you, the reader, who would you like to see gain promotion?
For myself, I would like to see one of Nottingham Forest or Luton Town go up. The reason behind that, is because in recent times I have not seen either of these sides in the top footballing tier of English football.

Luton Town will be looking for history to repeat itself, as the last time Luton Town were in the top tier of English football was in the 1955/56 season and it was also the year they contested the 1959 FA Cup final against: Nottingham Forest.
